Statoil has shut down the Hammerfest LNG export plant in Norway for three weeks of planned maintenance.

The energy player will carry out work in two tranches. The first will last for three weeks, with a second period of shut down for around one week in June.

“The work that will be undertaken is change of drying mass and drying out humidity in the natural gas path in the plant,” said Statoil spokesman Ola Anders Skauby.
