Fresh exploration success off Mozambique has again highlighted the impending emergence of East Africa as a major LNG exporter.
Eni on its operated Area 4 and Anadarko with Area 1 already boast reserves tallies that together look set to top 100 trillion cubic feet.
That is more than enough to feed multiple liquefaction trains and Mozambique’s first could be up and running later this decade.
Tanzania is also well on the way to developing a multi-train sector.
