Floating liquefaction gained new momentum this week after Petrobras declared it is all guns blazing once again with its former front-running Brazilian project.
The Indonesian government’s thumbs up to Shell’s involvement in the Inpex-led Abadi development adds further credence to that facility.
A number of other players appear bullish on the future use of FLNG to monetise stranded gas.
Shell is still keen to point out, however, that “there is only one project” with any real value.
