LNG industry decision-makers will be returning to their desks after a sluggish holiday period.
New liquefaction start-up Angola LNG has yet to produce its first cargo, promptly available LNG carriers have idled, prices have fallen in Asia and regasification project sanctions have been pushed back.
There has been some progress, however. On floating liquefaction, shipyard tours and discussions held earlier in the year look set to be coming to a head for one supermajor while another is on the brink of a pre-front-end engineering and design contest.
