Chevron has wrapped up another sales deal to push its Wheatstone LNG production project in Australia ever closer to a final investment decision this year.
Japanese utility Kyushu Electric has finalised an earlier preliminary agreement to buy up to 700,000 tonnes per annum from Chevron and partners Apache and Kufpec for up to 20 years.
Volumes will be topped up to 800,000 tpa, however, as Kyushu is also acquiring 1.83%
