Korea Gas Corporation is looking to team up with two Japanese outfits to bid for a stake in the Gulf LNG export project in Papua New Guinea.
The LNG market titan is said to be in talks with Mitsui and Japan Petroleum Exploration to jointly approach developer InterOil Corporation to become strategic partners in the liquefaction plans.
InterOil has been searching for an experienced partner since September to take an equity stake in its project.
