Cheniere Energy is targeting 12 March to issue Bechtel a notice to proceed with construction of export facilities at its Sabine Pass LNG terminal on the US Gulf Coast.
The Houston-based operator submitted the timetable to regulators in the hope that federal officials will give the final thumbs up in less than a month.
If the schedule holds true it would mark the first ground-breaking for an LNG export facility in the Lower 48 US states.Cheniere
