Australia Pacific LNG has signed a binding heads of agreement with Kansai Electric Power Company covering a 20-year supply deal.
Kansai will buy around 1 million tonnes per annum from the Australian liquefaction project with deliveries set to kick off in mid-2016.
“The signing of a long- term supply agreement demonstrates further momentum towards a two-train development, with detailed negotiations continuing with sufficient customers to support a second train final investment decision,” said Grant King, managing director of operator Origin Energy.
