Jordan Cove Energy is poised to lodge an application with US federal authorities to export LNG from the first liquefaction plant on the West Coast.
The company has been pursuing an import terminal project in Coos Bay, Oregon, but is now aiming to build trains alongside the regasification facilities, following the pattern of similar proposals popping up on the east and Gulf coasts.
