Jordan Cove Energy has been granted a 30-year permit to export up to 9 million tonnes per annum of LNG to countries with a free trade agreement with the US.
The Oregon-based terminal developer’s licence will come into effect either 10 years after the order or with first exports, whichever comes first.
The Department of Energy permit is conditional on Jordan Cove securing one or more long-term sales agreements.
