Inpex is buying a 17.5% stake in Shell’s Prelude LNG floating production project off Australia. The Japanese company, which will be the supermajor’s first partner at Prelude, did not disclose the value of the deal.
Inpex said it is aiming to use the experience gained at the 3.6 million tonnes per annum project to refine plans for its own Abadi FLNG scheme off Indonesia.
