Indonesian energy officials said the government isconsidering a moratorium on exports from new gas projects in the country.

The move could have ramifications for liquefaction  proposalsincluding the Inpex-led Abadi LNG project and BP’s potential expansion of theTangguh LNG plant.

Evita Legowo, director general for oil and gas with theEnergy and Mineral Resources Ministry, said the government will do its best tocarry out the moratorium, according to local media.
