Norway’s Hoegh LNG has scored a contract to carry out project-specific engineering of a floating LNG production unit.
The deal also involves carrying out a study of the project’s potential costs.
The work is expected to take three to four months, after which the client will decide on whether to move ahead to a full project-specific front-end engineering and design study.
Chief executive Sveinung Stohle declined to disclose details of the deal, including the potential location of the floating production, storage and offloading unit.
