Floating regas specialist Excelerate Energy is contemplating building a floating liquefaction plant along the US Gulf Coast.
Early plans point to a single-train vessel producing 3 million tonnes per annum of LNG from about 500 million cubic feet per day of gas, said chief executive Rob Bryngelson (pictured). The feedstock would be sourced through the US pipeline network.
The company sees this dockside FLNG project as a stepping stone to more remote locations.
