Canada’s National Energy Board has approved an export application from the Kitimat LNG project in British Columbia.
The 20-year licence covers deliveries of up to 200 million tonnes of LNG to the Asia Pacific region. Annual exports from the plant planned for Bish Cove will be limited to 10 million tonnes. Apache of the US holds a majority 40% stake in the project and is acting as operator.
