Golden Pass Products is planning a 15.6 million tonnes per annum liquefaction project at its underutilised import terminal in the US.
The operator has applied to the Department of Energy for permission to export LNG from the proposed facilities, which will be developed at the Texas site, to countries which hold a US free trade agreement.
A similar application is planned for non-FTA countries, said Golden Pass.
