GDF Suez is steadily working towards the next engineering phase of its €3 billion to €3.7 billion ($3.7 billion to $4.6 billion) Bonaparte floating liquefaction project in northern Australia.
The company is nearing the conclusion of a lengthy pre-qualification exercise after which two or three bidders will be invited to compete for a concept definition contract that will evolve into front-end engineering and design studies.
