Russia’s much-delayed Shtokman gas field development project in the Barents Sea could lose one of its three partners.
Project leader Gazprom, which holds a 51% stake in the first phase, hinted this week either Total on 25% or Statoil with 24% might be on their way out.
The capital-intensive developent is being reviewed at the moment.
“A decision on members and the scheme is expected in June,” Gazprom deputy chief executive Vitaly Markelov told a Moscow briefing on Wednesday.
Total
