Russia’s Gazprom and Novatek have signed a memorandum of cooperation that could see them team up to hike LNG exports from the Yamal Peninsula.
Government-owned Gazprom would have a 75% stake in the proposed joint venture, which would use the gas giant’s Tambey fields to add to export plans in the Arctic region.
Novatek, the independent gas player that is developing the Yamal LNG project, would hold 25%.
