Russia’s Gazprom has yet to sign a new shareholder agreement for phase one of the Shtokman gas field in the Barents Sea despite suggestions it was aiming to do so as soon as last week.
The company is instead aiming to sign a new deal, possibly bringing supermajor Shell into the project, by the end of this year, a Gazprom source told newswires.
