Russian gas giant Gazprom and compatriot Novatek are discussing working together to expand planned LNG production capacity on the Yamal peninsula.
The two players are considering delivering a joint project “aimed at building up LNG capacities near the port of Sabetta”, said Gazprom.
Sabetta is the site of the Novatek-led Yamal LNG project.
Novatek said both companies are looking at increasing LNG production capacity in the port area through the development of fields in the north of the peninsula.
