State-run gas distributor Gail (India) is in line to receive 1 million tonnes of LNG from Qatar’s RasGas to commission and supply the Dabhol terminal in Maharashtra.

Gail has wrapped up the deal, according to an analysts’ report, but the Indian player would only confirm talks are taking place.

“It is very sensitive commercial information,” said a spokesman.

Ratnagiri Gas & Power’s 5 million tonnes per annum Dabhol facility should be ready for operations in March after dredging work is completed.
