Canadian oil and gas independent Talisman Energy has appointed Hal Kvisle as its new chief executive.
Former TransCanada chief Kvisle takes the top seat from John Manzoni, who this week agreed to step down.
The new leader had been serving as a director for Talisman, which is eyeing liquefaction for its western Canadian unconventional gas assets.
Reports suggest Kvisle’s plans to focus on boosting the Canadian energy producer's cash flow and profitability while putting less emphasis on fostering long-term growth as he works to boost the company's sagging share price.
