Fluor is asking Santos to clear the path for the US company to bid for upstream work on Australian export project Arrow LNG.
The construction contractor has an exclusivity deal at Santos’ rival GLNG project that for now prevents it from taking on an upstream role elsewhere in Australia.
Fluor is also considering bidding for the liquefaction element at Arrow, which would not require a waiver.
