Freeport LNG now plans to kick off construction of its three-train liquefaction project in Texas in November 2013, a slip from the original target date of next January.
The developer said it expects to receive permits to site, construct and operate the facility by September 2013, allowing it to request permission to begin actual building work the following month.
The aim is to have the first train online in November 2016, followed by the sequential start-up of the other two units at six to nine-month intervals.
