Excelerate Energy is aiming to complete site-specificfront-end engineering and design by year-end for its floating LNG exportproject in Texas.
The Houston-based company, best known for its floatingregasification activities, also revealed that its Port Lavaca project willoccupy the same site as the permitted but never built Calhoun LNG importproject.
Excelerate is planning to build the so-called Lavaca Bay LNGproject using a floating liquefaction storage and off-loading unit with up to 4million tonnes per annum in capacity.
