Italian operator Eni has added to its LNG feedstock kitty with another big natural gas discovery offshore Mozambique.
Eni said the Mamba North East-2 discovery in Area 4 has added another 10 trillion cubic feet of reserves and takes the total amount of gas it has discovered in the block up to a massive 70 Tcf.
The outfit said Mamba North East 2 was drilled about 60 kilometres from the Capo Delgado coast and is its fifth successful exploration well.
