Qatar’s RasGas has forged a long-term deal to sell cargoes to an arm of French utility EDF.
The 3.4 million tonnes per annum agreement will see EDF Trading receive the cargoes at the Zeebrugge LNG terminal in Belgium.
RasGas, an LNG exporter controlled by Qatar Petroleum and US-based supermajor ExxonMobil, will sell the cargoes on an ex-ship basis.
A RasGas spokeswoman said the deal will last 15 years.
