France’s EDF is in talks for a slice of the Yamal LNG project in Russia.
"We are in talks about adding a number of companies, including EDF,” a spokesman for project operator Novatek told Reuters.
If the gas and power company takes a slice, it would be the second French company to join the project.
Supermajor Total controls 20% of Yamal LNG. Novatek, a Russian independent gas player, owns the rest but is aiming to sell its holding down to 51%.
