A 35-day shutdown of Darwin LNG has begun, Santos chief executive David Knox said.
The maintenance closure has been planned for some time to coincide with works further upstream at the Bayu-Undan gas project.
Santos, a Sydney-listed exploration and production outfit, is a 15% shareholder at the export facility in Northern Territory, Australia.
Knox said the plant also recently shipped out its 300th cargo.
