Cheniere has lost the right to build the Corpus Christi LNG import terminal in Texas.

The US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission this week vacated an earlier order to allow for the construction of the regasification project and associated pipeline, which Cheniere was hoping to turn into a bi-directional import-export facility with the addition of liquefaction infrastructure.

Subsidiary Corpus Christi LNG failed to kick off building work within the time allotted by the permit.
