The first load of steel pipe has been delivered to mark the start of construction of the main gas transmission pipeline serving the Australia Pacific LNG project.
APLNG said the maiden shipment arrived in the port of Gladstone today.
The pipe will be used to construct a 530 kilometre gas line to transport coal-bed methane from the Surat and Bowen basins to the LNG facility under development on Curtis Island.
