Comments due by April on Freeport export proposal

Comments on Freeport LNG’s application to export LNG from its terminal in the United States must be filed by 13 April.

The Department of Energy is considering whether to grant the developer a permit to send LNG to countries with which the US does not hold a free trade agreement.

Subsidiaries Freeport LNG Expansion and Freeport LNG Liquefaction applied in December to export LNG up to the equivalent of 511 billion cubic feet of natural gas per annum over 25 years.

The
