Chubu takes 0.7% slice of Ichthys

Japanese off-taker Chubu Electric Power has secured a 0.7% stake in the Inpex-led Ichthys LNG project in Australia.

The deal will see the outfit take a participating interest in the Ichthys gas-condensate field WA-50-L, along with the exploration permit WA-285-P.

Chubu will also get shares in Ichthys LNG Pty, the company in charge of liquefaction and LNG marketing for the project.
