BG Group has firmed up a deal to supply up to 122 LNG cargoes to Japanese utility Chubu Electric Power over 21 years, writes Rachael Meredith.
The initial agreement signed in October committed the UK-based gas outfit to provide 120 shipments over 20 years. Chubu will begin receiving cargoes from BG’s global portfolio, including the 7.4 million tonnes per annum Queensland Curtis LNG scheme currently under construction, in 2014.
