Chevron is eyeing ambitious expansions of both its Gorgon and Wheatstone grassroots LNG projects in Australia.
The US operator is aiming to move into the front-end engineering and design stage for a fourth liquefaction train at Gorgon in late 2012. It is not known whether the FEED work will be put out to tender.
“That’s something that we’re currently looking at in terms of what makes the most sense,” said Chevron Australia managing director Roy Krzywosinski.
