Cheniere Energy has argued that environmental group Sierra Club’s plea to halt the construction of the Sabine Pass export project is without merit.
The Sabine Pass Liquefaction subsidiary, which plans to build liquefaction trains at its US import terminal, said the group has “failed to establish that it will suffer irreparable harm if a stay is not granted”.
“Sierra Club has no significant likelihood of succeeding on the merits of its various claims,” said the developer in a filing with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
