Cash-Maple fits bill as KBR lands floater costs study

Hoegh LNG has brought in US contractor KBR to assist with the pre-front-end engineering and design of a floating liquefaction project in Australia.

The companies declined to name the project. Well-placed sources said, however, it is Cash-Maple, owned by Thailand’s PTT Exploration & Production.

The Thai operator appears to have set up a competition with the existing pre-FEED contractor, a joint venture between SBM Offshore and Linde.
