Brunei LNG is planning to lift storage capacity at its Borneo island liquefaction plant by nearly 62%.

The LNG exporter company will add 120,000 cubic metres of new tank capacity, bringing total storage to 315,000 cubic metres, Mitsubishi spokesman Shunsuke Nanami told Reuters.

The project is expected to cost B$1 billion (US$795 million).

Built in 1972, Brunei LNG has three storage tanks, each with 65,000 cubic metres in capacity.
