Indonesian oil and gas regulator BPMigas is planning to claw back more than three quarters of the LNG cargoes dedicated to Sempra Energy from the country’s Tangguh liquefaction plant.

US-based Sempra has a contract for the delivery of 3.7 million tonnes per annum to its Energia Costa Azul terminal in Mexico, although half of this is divertible. BPMigas said it is in talks with the terminal operator to release the volumes for the domestic market.
