BP has requested permission to build a third LNG train at its existing Tangguh plant in Papua, Indonesia. The new unit will have a 3.8 million tonnes per annum capacity. A Plan for Further Development (POFD) which contains both the project’s technical and commercial details has now been submitted to Indonesian regulator BPMigas. A spokesman from BPMigas told the Jakarta Post that he expected a decision to be made soon.
