Eni’s boss is gearing up to present an investment plan for an LNG project in Mozambique to the board of directors.
Paolo Scaroni, chief executive of the Italian oil company, told the CERAWeek conference in Houston that developing the field with LNG trains and other facilities will cost tens of billions of dollars.
“I will soon need to go to my board and ask them to authorise these gigantic investments,” he said.
