BG Group signs up for Sabine Pass production

BG Group has signed a preliminary deal to buy 3.5 million tonnes per annum of LNG over 20 years from the Sabine Pass facility in Louisiana.

Cheniere said a fully termed sales and purchase agreement has been executed between its affiliate Sabine Pass Liquefaction and BG Gulf Coast LNG.

Under the deal, BG will purchase volumes from the Sabine Pass terminal where Cheniere is adding liquefaction facilities to turn it into a bi-directional import and export plant.
