BC LNG in pipeline expansion deal

BC LNG Export Co-Operative shareholder LNG Partners has signed a deal to study an expansion of the Pacific Northern Gas pipeline to feed its Canadian export project.

The agreement with pipe operator Altagas will see Tom Tatham-led LNG Partners fund a feasibility study into adding 170 million to 195 million cubic feet per day of capacity.

Altagas and LNG Partners also agreed to give LNG Partners a six month extension on its option for 80 MMcfd on the pipeline.
