Several energy companies with LNG export proposals for British Columbia have visited China to try to stimulate demand for their volumes.
Apache, Encana, EOG, Nexen, Progress Energy, Shell and Spectra Energy joined BC Premier Christy Clark on what has been dubbed “a trade mission to China”.
This has “set the foundation for a long-term demand for BC natural gas and opened doors to secure investment to support industry’s plans to develop LNG exports”, said the parties.
