BC LNG Export Cooperative has received its official export licence documentation allowing it to ship out LNG from its planned liquefaction project in western Canada.
The National Energy Board has issued the licence following approval from the governor in council earlier this month.
The NEB revealed its decision to allow LNG exports from the project in February.
Under the licence, the Tom Tatham-led BC LNG Export Cooperative can export 36 million tonnes of LNG from the proposed Kitimat facility over 20 years.
