Industrial group Atlas Copco has received a US$17 million order for turbocompressors from the developers of the Ichthys LNG export project.

Engineering, procurement and construction joint venture JKC Australia plans to install Atlas  turboexpanders and air compressors at the Inpex-operated facility under construction in Australia’s Northern Territory.

They are due for delivery in the third quarter of 2013.

The turboexpanders will be used in gas treatment, while the three-stage air compressors will produce instrument air for use at the onshore plant, said Atlas Copco.
