Australia Pacific LNG has given the green light to a second 4.5 million tonnes per annum liquefaction train at its plant on Curtis Island in Queensland, boosting total capital expenditure to A$23 million (US$23 million).
The final investment decision means US contractor Bechtel can start construction.
This project phase will also involve further development of the upstream gas-gathering facilities and processing infrastructure.
