Australia Pacific LNG has awarded compatriot Leighton Holdings an A$800 million (US$810 million) deal for gas gathering and water treatment work.
APLNG, the Origin Energy-led outfit building an eponymous export plant in Queensland state, will pay Leighton A$450 million to build the gas gathering system south of Miles.
The contractor will lay 1,220 kilometres of poly-welded pipeline and 1,730 kilometres of fibre optic and power cables.
