Sanction of Australia Pacific LNG’s second train is now expected in mid-2012, Origin Energy chief executive Grant King said.
Previously, Origin was expecting partners to take a final investment decision early in the year.
The Australian explorer owns 37.5% of the two-train, coalbed-methane fed plant under construction on Curtis Island in Queensland state.
US supermajor ConocoPhillips holds an identical stake, while main off-taker Sinopec controls 25%.
